Good venue for viewing basketball but not hockey.

The Barclays Center is a very nice facility with friendly ushers and staff people. I have seen many basketball games here and it is a good place to see a basketball game. They did not build this stadium for hockey games and there are many blind spots in the corners. I wound up selling my original seats and purchase lower level seats in section 6 row 18 'Lower blue Line'. Every time there was a play in the corner you could not see it. There are many obstructed viewing seats that are labeled as such, however for the $200+ dollars these seats cost, they should have stated the same. My son rooted for the opposing team and wore their Jersey and was treated fairly by the home team fans.

Barclays is Uber Unique

Had a great time at the isles-Cunucks game. NHL venues tend to be cookie-cutter facsimiles of each other, Barclays is unique and really cool. Clean modern and ultra sleek, this is a great arena to watch a game. View from section 220 is the best I have ever experienced from any seat at any arena. Presentation is a good mix of modern with lots of vibrant crowd presentation. Area around Barclays? It is really top-notch, maybe the best neighborhood for an arena in the entire country. There are dozens and dozens of bars and restaurants near-by. Public transit is awesome too. 11 subways lines. Can get here easily from anywhere.

Now you’s can’t leave

First game at ubs for me, my son and some family after Santa left us tickets under the tree. Arena is awesome, staff, vibe, the whole experience inside was way above and beyond what I expected. But then it was time to go home and it was brutal. No lines or semblance of civility just a mob of people waiting for the shuttle bus to emerald lot which is pretty much only option if not a season or partial season ticket holder. We walked not realizing the distance with two tires 10 yr olds and my mom in her early 80’s. Figured the hassle was over once we got in the car. Nobody directing traffic or signs and figured the 35 min of not moving was because of crazy traffic on the cross island parkway. Nope just horrible planning and execution. Sucks it really took away from such a great time at the game
